Girls’ Leadership Day 11/16
The New York Women’s Foundation Girls’ Leadership Day will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Association of the Bar of the City of New York located at 42 West 44th Street, New York, NY. The theme of this year’s Girls’ Leadership Day is Finding Your Voices…Sharing Our Vision.
Girls Leadership Day is a daylong event for 200 girls and young women (ages 13-19) to explore education and career opportunities through interactive, age-appropriate activities, networking with peers and mentoring from professional women representing diverse career industries. There will also be an opportunity for chaperones to take advantage of engaging workshops as well. Registration is now open, and Hollaback! encourages all young leaders to fill out an online application form by October 18th, 2013.
The Healing Center 2013 Annual Gala 11/7
The board of directors and staff of the Healing Center invites you to their 13th annual gala, celebrating 13 years of transforming, healing, and changing lives. Yvette Aguirre and Emily May, executive director of Hollaback!, will be honored at the event. The annual gala is being held at Battery Gardens (opposite 17 State Street) on Thursday, November 7th, and runs from 6pm-10pm. You can pick up your tickets here.

Sexual Assault and Violence Prevention Training 10/22

Between the Door and the Street : Stoop Conversations Public Art Event 10/19
On October 19th, 2013, hundreds are taking to Brooklyn stoops for Suzanne Lacy’s first public art event in New York. Lacy’s participatory artwork will bring together New York based feminists and activists to participate in live, unscripted dialogues on Brooklyn’s most iconic architectural feature – the stoop. Hollaback! will be there, and we want to talk to you!
